I tried my hands with Fluid and I am glad to say its exciting and easy. One thing that is really important and can set a good fluid developer apart from others is a great sense of UI design. With so many tools in your hand, one can go overboard or pulled inside their shell. See the attached document for my attempt at Fluid Overtime Functionality.
