HCM Image 23 has so much to offer and one great feature is the discussion feature. Currently it is a capability that is not integrated into any module but I believe soon you will see it popup everywhere from Talent Management to Compensation. I have already started designing and utilizing it for my clients. The feature allows following benefits:
- Can be configured as related action with context – This allow discussion to start from anywhere at any point. For instance you can start a discussion on how to improve a particular competency on your development document. To go a step further, HR can make those discussions available as related content when going into the competency details on Performance document.
- Allows to have a pre-selected audience or selection list – For instance you can start a discussion with your HRBP during compensation cycle without fiddling through emails.
- It is fluid enabled! – This allows total mobile capability to absorb and contribute
This is a good start towards social capabilities of the product and I cannot wait to see what functionalities PeopleSoft team integrate this into.
