PeopleSoft to Modern HR – Power of Self Service Schedule

Continuing on with my journey through PeopleSoft to modern HR, one new feature that I think is really exciting is the self service schedule. Now a user can initiate a process or report on the process scheduler from the core application page. This can be really great for self service (no more ugly run control pages) and system performance (scheduled jobs consuming less of system resources). This coupled with push notification provide great functionality. Here is an example where I am running the maintain primary indicator process for an employee from job data. The user never need to see the runcontrol page, put parameters etc. When the process is done they get notified.

Note: The runcontrol search record should have operator id as a key for this functionality to work.

Enjoy the demo.  Next up is enhanced dashboard & workcenter
