Keeping its promise, of commitment to PeopleSoft, Oracle has delivered the new fluid company directory feature. We received positive response from our clients on the classic company directory functionality but the fluid UI has taken usability to a new level. Some of the noticeable features are:
1. Addition of recently viewed and favorites – This is a really interesting feature. Core HR user might find it very useful as now they can add all organization contacts to favorites (much like pages) and can quickly refer to them. Manager and employees will find it useful too. This is something I saw in workday for side by side comparison and though limited it was still useful.
2. New job detail view – We can now view employees full org hierarchy when viewing job information page. Clients will find this useful for communication and escalation.
3. Improved company directory page – We all love the split page functionality of related content. Now PeopleSoft has extended that framework to company directory and it looks very modern. New design is a big win for mobile users.
